The toxiCALL® “More” configuration screen is where you will configure toxiCALL® to interact with MICROMEDEX® Desktop and also set the default version of MICROMEDEX® to be used when performing searches.
Additionally the toxiCALL® “More” configuration screen is where you can access the “ToxPDX” configuration window used to configure the interaction of MICROMEDEX® 1.0/2.0/Web Service with toxiCALL®. See the “ToxPDX Configuration Screen” section of this document for more information.
Log into toxiCALL® v4.6.128 or later. Make sure you use a toxiCALL® user account with Supervisor or Configuration Manager rights.
Select “Tools” then “Configuration…” from the menu bar. This will open the “Toxicall® Configuration” screen. Press the “More” button to open the “Toxicall® More Configuration” screen.
Located in the lower left side of the configuration window is the “MICROMEDEX®” configuration area.

Version: |
The default MICROMEDEX® lookup source when performing a search from within a toxiCALL® case window. An alternate source can be used from within a toxiCALL® case if needed (internet is down). See the “Specifying the MICROMEDEX® Source and Lookup Type” section of this document. Options include: Desktop Internet v2.0 Intranet v1.0 |
Update Interval: |
The amount of time (seconds) that toxiCALL® will wait in between attempts to update the lookup data information in a case when a MICROMEDEX® link is active. Default is 2 seconds. |
Desktop Type: |
Version of MICROMEDEX® Desktop that will be used for lookups. Options include: 16-Bit HCS 32-Bit HCS If you are unsure which option to select, please refer to your organization’s IT staff. |
Network Path: |
Path to the network installation folder that contains the MICROMEDEX® Desktop executable. Default: c:\mdxw\hcs32\ |
Network Temp Path: |
Path to the network temp folder location where lookup data will be stored for population into toxiCALL® cases. Default: C:\mdxw\hcs32\temp\ |
Local Path: |
Path to the local MICROMEDEX® installation executable. |
Local Temp Path: |
Path to the local temp folder location where lookup data will be stored for population into toxiCALL® cases. (This path typically is set to a local directory such as “C:\mdxw\hcs32\temp”) |
