As noted in the introduction of this document changes made to the spell check dictionaries are workstation specific and NOT network wide. If you would like to replicate the changes made you will need to either manually make the changes at each workstation or copy the two dictionary files to each PC.
Below are the steps for copying the proper files from one PC to another to replicate the dictionaries and any changes contained within.
1. After making all desired changes to the user and / or auto correct dictionaries, exit TOXICALL®.
2. Locate the “userdic.tlx” and “correct.tlx” files stored on the workstation. Typically these are found in either the TOXICALL® application directory or the Windows® system folder depending on your version of TOXICALL®. (If you require assistance locating these files, please contact your local IT depearment.)
3. Once you have located the files, copy them to a location where you can access them on other workstations. A network share folder or USB thumb drive are typically simple methods to copy and transport files.
4. Move to a workstation where you would like to update the dictionary files.
5. Locate the stored updated files and copy them to their respective location (Windows® system folder or TOXICALL® application directory) overwriting the existing copies.
6. The workstation’s dictionary files are now replicated.
7. Repeat steps 4-5 for any additional workstations you wish to update.
