Workstation Configuration for Zip Codes

TOXICALL® supports the ability to control and restrict releasing zip code information to the local workstation. Although not all users will need this feature it can be important in environments where zip codes are slow to release due to network bandwidth limitations, such as in a wide-area network environment.

The following steps will allow you to view/change the configuration options for the zip codes. It is important to note that this configuration is workstation specific.

1.  Log into TOXICALL® with supervisor rights.

2.  Ensure all case windows and the search window has been closed.

3.  Select “Tools” > “Configuration”

4.  Click the “More” button

5.  At the top of the last column locate the “Zip Code Release” dropdown. The three options are:

a.  Always

i. Whenever a zip code update has been detected the zip codes will be released. This check is performed when TOXICALL® is started.

b.  Prompt

i. This will prompt the user to release the latest zip codes when available after TOXICALL® has been started. If the user chooses “No” the prompt will appear the next time TOXICALL® is started.

c.  Never

i. Use when the workstation does not need access to the zip code information.
