View level rights determine what each user has permission to view, access and modify in TOXICALL®. View level rights must be declared for each SPI, and are assigned via the SPI list and Security Information system table. The meaning of view levels is user defined. Therefore, your site can decide if you think that Level1 should be the highest or Level 4 should be the highest. For the purposes of this discussion, we will use Level 1 as the lowest level security and Level 4 as the highest level. The view levels for the different views/reports/databases are set in the Views and Reports system table.
Example: Your site needs an archive database and only wants Supervisors with View Level 4 to be able to access it. To accomplish this, simply assign the archive database View Level 4 in the Views and Reports system table and make sure that only your Supervisors have View Level 4 set in the SPI List and Security Information table.
For more information, see the section regarding this system table, later in this chapter.
