To enter lab test results into a lab, locate the “Result” column of the lab tests and enter the lab results into the respective empty fields.
Once you have filled in the fields that you desire you can rather exit the Lab Module window, or add another lab to the patient chart.
If you would like to save your lab and exit the Lab Module window with out adding another lab, click the “Done” button to save and close the Lab Module window.
You will be prompted if you would like to save the changes. Press “Yes” to save the changes.
However if you would like to add another lab to the
patient chart, click the “New Lab” icon in the upper center portion of the Lab
Module window. You will be prompted if you would like to save the changes of the
lab that you are currently working on. Press “Yes” to save the changes and
return to the main Lab Module screen where you can then select a new lab
template and enter in the information of the subsequent labs.
The “Labs” button in the patient chart will now become darker to standout in the chart and you will also notice that there is a “1” in the parenthesis to indicate that there is one lab associated with this chart. If you were to have several labs for one patient chart, the number in the parenthesis will increase accordingly.
