Introduction

This document will guide users and administrators through the proper use and configuration of the ToxPDX applet and usage of MICROMEDEX® to perform product lookups from within toxiCALL®. TOXICALL® supports connectivity to:

      MICROMEDEX® Web Service,

      MICROMEDEX® 2.0 Internet,

      MICROMEDEX® 1.0 Internet and Intranet, and

Per Truven Health Analytics, v1.0 Internet version is due to be obsolete June 1, 2011.

      MICROMEDEX® / POISINDEX® Desktop.

Note: For internet connectivity to MICROMEDEX® you must have a trusted authentication or obtain a user name and password to be configured at each TOXICALL® installation.

“MICROMEDEX® 2.0 Internet” configuration requires the use of Microsoft® Internet Explorer with scripting enabled. Please note Internet Explorer configuration and requirements are established by Truven Health Analytics. MICROMEDEX® / POISINDEX® support questions should be submitted directly to Truven Health Analytics. “MICROMEDEX® Web Service” does NOT require the use of Microsoft® Internet Explorer or custom scripting permissions.

Prior to configuring toxiCALL® you will need to obtain the required Internet Explorer browser configuration settings from Truven Health Analytics customer resource center for additional support assistance.

toxiCALL® v4.6.128 or later is required for Micromedex Internet and Intranet integration.
