Introduction

The TOXICALL(R) Access driver configuration is designed to set which version of the “Microsoft® Jet Database Engine” TOXICALL(R) will use when interacting with the included Access databases.

The purpose of this document is to walk through the process of changing the default driver set TOXICALL(R) uses when interacting with Access databases.

The default configuration for TOXICALL(R) is to use the “Access 97” driver set to accommodate older workstations or workstations with lower performance levels. Now that many workstations are built with higher performance hardware and software, the decision to run the “Access 2000” driver set may be implemented.

Another benefit of using the “Access 2000” driver set is there will be no need to install the “MDAC 2.0” drivers for TOXICALL(R) to interact with the databases.

If you would like to change the default Access driver set used with your TOXICALL(R) installations the following sections will walk you through the process step-by-step.

Note: The steps listed below work for either “Access 97” to “Access 2000” or visa versa. Additionally, if you are currently using User Configurable Fields (UCFs) to capture custom data, please contact CAS support before proceeding.
