Inactivating Entries in a System Table

As with most relational databases, TOXICALL® uses values in one table to resolve values in other tables. Therefore, deleting items can cause problems. Because of this potential problem, many of the system tables will not allow data deletion. However, entries may be inactivated. This allows the data to remain available for historical cases, but remove it from dropdown lists so it cannot be used in new cases. If need be, the entry can be reactivated later.

To inactive a system table entry, open the appropriate system table.  Double click the entry to be inactivated to display the Detail View and click the Inactive check box.  Save the change, close the window, release the table and close the System Tables window to begin the table’s release.
