This section will guide you through the process of performing an imprint code lookup using the MICROMEDEX® v1.0, v2.0, or Web Service integration within toxiCALL®.
Enter the imprint code into the toxiCALL® case window verbatim field.
In order to specify that the lookup is for an imprint code, the check box to the right of the verbatim field must be checked. Keyboard users can: enter the imprint code, press tab, then the space bar to mark the check box, finally press enter key to run the search. (To simplify: Tab, Space, Enter).
Note: The imprint code checkbox will only be available if you are searching using MICROMEDEX® 1.0, 2.0, or Web Service. The MICROMEDEX® Desktop does not require you to make a distinction between imprint code or substance lookup.
The following screen shot shows the “Imprint Code” checkbox marked.
Pressing enter will spawn MICROMEDEX® and automatically perform the desired lookup.
The following screen shot displays the drug identification results based on the imprint code entered in the search.
Select the result you desire. A “Drug Information” window will open. (MICROMEDEX® 2.0)
The following screen shot displays the “Drug Information” window that is presented.
Press the orange “Select Product” link to download the information to the toxiCALL® case window. The “Select Product” link should turn to a white / silver color.
If the “Select Product” link does not change color, your Internet Explorer settings are not configured properly. Please contact Truven Health Analytics for configuration assistance.
In the following screen shot the toxiCALL® case window is now populated with the information selected.
When the Description label is red, the link to MICROMEDEX® is still active. Subsequent searches in MICROMEDEX® will continue to populate within toxiCALL®. Selecting a different field within toxiCALL® will deactivate the MICROMEDEX® link and the description label color will turn to black.
