Place a copy of the “StartToxicall.bat” file into the toxiCALL® installation directory of your “master” workstation. For example, if you have a single virtual workstation that is copied to create all other virtual workstations, you will place the “StartToxicall.bat” file into the “C:\Program Files (x86)\CAS\Toxicall” folder of that workstation.
Note: If you have toxiCALL® installed into a different directory than the default shown above, place the “StartToxicall.bat” into the directory currently in use.
The batch file will need to be modified to match your environment specifics. Right click on the “StartToxicall.bat” file and select “edit” to edit the file.
At the start of the file you will notice general information listed with the letters “REM” at the start of each line. These lines of information are commonly referred to as “comments” and are for informational purposes only and are not executed when the batch file is ran.
Locate the line specifying which drive letter mapping will be used when mapping to the storage location of the copied files. The line of interest will look similar to the following image.
By default the drive mapping letter to be used is “T:\” however you can update this to be any drive letter desired. In some instances the “T:\” drive letter may already be utilized by your workstations and thus a different drive letter mapping will be configured. The below image shows the drive letter mapping updated to use the letter “X”.
Locate the line specifying the installation location of toxiCALL®. In some instances toxiCALL® may be installed in an alternate directory and this path will need to be reflected in the batch file. The following image shows the batch file when NO changes are needed and toxiCALL® is installed in the default location.
If the path to toxiCALL® needs to be updated to reflect your environment, you will un-comment the “change directory” line and update the path accordingly. The following image shows an example of an updated path.
The updates to the batch file are now complete. Save the file and close the file editor window.
Updating the toxiCALL® Configuration
After updating the “StartToxicall.bat” file, the location of the local database “ToxiLoc.mdb” will need to be updated within the toxiCALL® installation of the “master” virtual image or workstation. This will ensure that all virtual environments derived from the “master” environment contain the same configuration update.
Information on how to update the configured local database path can be found in the section of our documentation.
In this example, the path to the local database would be updated to “X:\” drive location or otherwise as needed (wherever the “ToxiLoc.mdb” and “Toxicall.ini” files will be stored for each user).
