FTP

The FTP option in Batch Reporting allows the user to send the generated reports to the intended recipient via an FTP connection.

Clicking on the 3-dot button for the “FTP” output option opens the “FTP Settings” window. This window allows the user to select the settings they desire and have them applied to their report.

Please refer to the below information on how to populate/use each area and field in the window:

File Name: The file name field is used to setup the desired name of the FTP connection. An example may be “Chicago FTP” or “FTP Connection to Los Angles”

FTP Site: The FTP site field is used to setup the desired FTP address. An example may be in the IP address format such as xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx or a domain name. Consult your destination if you are unsure how to populate the FTP site field.

Destination File: The destination file field is used to setup the desired name of the document that will be sent to the destination FTP location.

Prepend:

Date: Determines if the date of the report will be prepended to the file name.

Time: Determines if the time of the report will be prepended to the file name.

User Name: The user name field is used to specify the user log in name for the FTP server. Consult your destination FTP location’s manager if you are unsure how to populate this field.

Password: The password field is used to specify the user password for the FTP server. Consult your destinations FTP location’s manager if you are unsure how to populate this field.

Confirm Password: The confirm password filed is used to confirm that your log in name password for the FTP location is typed in correctly. Please type in the password just as you did for the previous field to confirm that there are no typos in the password fields.

Print header/footer in attachment: Determines if the report header and/or footer will be included in the output.

ZIP file: (Not yet available)

Inactive: The last field in the FTP settings window is the “Inactive” check box. If you wish to keep all the FTP settings for a particular report in the batch however you do not want the FTP send process to run you can check the “Inactive” box. Checking the “Inactive” box will prevent the document from being sent via FTP; however retain all settings for future use.
