The next main point of interest is the “Duration:” field. When a call is received into the poison center the recent cases window will automatically perform a search for any cases that contain the same caller name (in caller or patient name field) or phone number from within the time frame defined in the “Duration:” field.
As you can see in the earlier example, there are no cases in the last 4 hours that match the search criteria, thus no results are returned.
In the following screen shot the duration field is modified to display the “Entire Database”. There are two cases that meet the search criteria.
