Adding an E-mail Account

While TOXICALL® v4.7 comes with a pre-installed “CAS Account” that can be used for the “CAS Notifications” and “Support Emails” functions, it will be required that at least one other e-mail account be configured for use with the other e-mail functions.

Access the “Toxicall® E-mail Configuration” screen as described in the “Accessing E-mail Configuration” section of this document.

Select the “Email Account Setup” tab.

The account creation screen will appear.

To create a new e-mail account, press the “New Account” button.

Fill out the fields needed according to the guidelines presented below.

 

“PoP3 Email Settings” Tab

Account Name

The name of the account (i.e. “Poison Center General POP3”)

E-mail Address

The e-mail address of the account (i.e. “center_reports@organization.org”)

Incoming mail server

The incoming mail server (i.e. “pop.server.net”)

Outgoing mail server (SMTP)

The outgoing mail server (i.e. “smtpout.server.net”)

User Name

The user name for logging into the account (i.e. “center_reports@organization.org” or “LSmith”)

Password

The password used to access the account

Require logon using Secure Password Authentication (SPA)

Enable this option if your e-mail account requires the user of “Secure Password Authentication”.

Enable SMTPQ

Alternative method for sending mail. Set to True if needed. (Please consult you IT staff if unsure)

Address Prefix

Text that will always appear at the start of the

Address Suffix

Text that will always appear at the end of the

Subject Prefix

Text that will always appear at the start of the subject line.

Subject Suffix

Text that will always appear have at the end of the subject line.

Message Footer

Text that will always appear have at the end of the e-mail main body.

Once you have populated all fields required for the account, press the “Test Email” button to test the account settings. TOXICALL® will generate a message if the test was successful or not.

A successful test will produce the following message.

If not, please review your account settings and make any changes needed. If you continue to experience difficulties setting up the e-mail account after all settings have been reviewed, please contact CAS support for additional assistance.

Press the “Save E-mail” button to save the account settings and return to the “Toxicall® E-mail Configuration” screen.
